We hope you are getting out and exploring nature in the sun during this lovely month of May.
We are certainly getting out and about at the Corner House to mark National Walking to School Month and promote walking as healthy exercise. We are talking to the children about how walking can keep us fit and healthy and also benefit the environment. National Smile Month also starts next week so we will be learning about good oral health!
The children are also learning about the history of our local area this month and and how the old house on our road has changed to the house being built now. Our pre-schoolers will use a map to identify historical landmarks and learn about how things have changed over time.
We will also be celebrating our families by making self-portraits and a gallery of our families.
12–13th May is a Muslim festival which celebrates the end of Ramadan so the children will be learning about how Eid is celebrated.
