Happy New Year everyone! In the coming weeks we will be teaching the children about ice and snow and the impact these weather conditions have on our lives. The children will also be doing ice and snow themed activities such as making snowflakes and snowman pictures. We will be helping the children to learn about penguins, such as how they have managed to survive in such a harsh climate for over 65 million years and understand how climate change is impacting them.
In connection with our eco philosophy, the children will also be learning about how to save energy, such as switching off a light when we leave a room or not leaving a TV on standby.
For Burns Night we will be looking at different kinds of poetry and words that rhyme. The children will be listening to music played on the bagpipes, that unique Scottish instrument! Alongside poetry and words that rhyme!
