Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a lovely Christmas. As the weather turns colder, we will be teaching the children about ice and snow and the impact these weather conditions have on our lives.  The children will also be doing ice and snow themed activities such as making snowflakes and snowman pictures.

This month the children will also be learning about how we should treat everyone as equals and not judge people by their colour. One of the activities we will be doing is to get three different coloured eggs and then crack them open, so that the children can see that we are all the same colour inside.

We will be learning about how we can save energy, such as switching off a light when we leave a room or not leaving a TV on standby. We will be teaching the children why saving energy is important to the planet.

RNLI SOS Day on 29 January is to show support for our volunteer lifeboat crew and lifeguards who risk their lives to save others at sea. We will discuss safety at the beach as well as the seaside topic in general as we live so close to the sea.
