With the weather being so wet and windy we have been talking to the children about how the weather should not stop you from having fun. One of my favourite sayings is, there is no such thing as unsuitable weather just unsuitable clothing! We have been talking to the children about the good things that rain does and how in some countries it never rains at all.
This month we will be teaching the children why it is important to have friends and asking what is special about their friends.
We will be getting the children to take pictures of themselves and the environment and will put these on a display.
The children will be listening to different types of music. Studies have shown that different genres of music affect the mind and body in different ways. For instance, smooth jazz is known to relax the body. Pop music helps to improve endurance. Metal music provides a stronger sense of identity. Of all the types of music, classical has the most positive effects. Classical music fights depression, sparks creativity, relieves pain, and supercharges brainpower. However, one study showed hip hop improved the flavour of cheese!
