The children are enjoying getting outside with summer fun activities! We have been enjoying lots of football games in our large outdoor space to mark England’s progress in Euro 2020 and will be looking at English traditions such as having tea in china cups and eating cucumber sandwiches!
Our preschool children are getting ready to make the transition to school and some of our other children are transitioning into the next age group. We will be showing preschool children their new schools on Google maps and talking to them about what they need to be able to do independently when at school and looking at the different school uniforms.
The children in preschool have been interested in pirates so we have declared Thursday 8th July Pirate Day for which we would like all children and staff to dress up as pirates. We will be going on a treasure hunt in the garden.
To commemorate the first moon landing the children will be talking about the moon and learning about the planets in our solar system.
