Fees at The Corner House Day Nursery
Fees are reviewed annually in January and are paid monthly in advance on the first of the month by standing order or bank transfer, unless special arrangements have been authorised.
Registration Fee
There is a registration fee of £100 payable at the time of reserving a place for your child, which is non refundable. This applies to children having non-funded hours.

A discount is available for children attending full time, please enquire for further details. Ad hoc hours are available – please ask management for details.
We can now open at 730am if pre-booked for which there is a charge of £7-00 pounds which includes breakfast. Please speak to the manager for more information. We have a minimum attendance of 2 full days per week for under 2’s and 4 sessions per week for children over 2. (One session is half a day).
There is also a deposit payable of; Part time £100 and Full time £200. The deposit is deducted from the last months fees if they are paid up to date. There is no registration fee or deposit required for totally funded places. Please note if having additional non funded hours on top of funded hours then registration and deposit rules apply.
Extended hours are charged at £8.00 per hour.
Monthly Fees are calculated by multiplying weekly fees by 51 and dividing by 12 to arrive at final calculation. Fees are payable for 51 weeks per year including bank holidays. The nursery closes for approximately 1 week at Christmas time.
We offer Universal Funding of 15 hours for the 38 weeks of EYE, for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. 570 hours per year or stretched over 51 weeks a year. We also offer the 30 hours of funding subject to certain criteria. Please ask the nursery for further details. Please note fees are payable on the 1st of every month in advance. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure all payments are made in time for this date.
Late payments are subject to a 20% surcharge.
Our Fees include:
- Discount for siblings is 5% for 3 days or more attendance
- All meals, snacks and drinks, including milk, juices, morning snacks, 2 course lunch, afternoon snack and tea
- Bottled feeds are to be provided by the parent
Nappies, creams, wipes etc. are to be provided by the child’s parent. Meals are cooked on the premises by our own chef using fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh meat wherever possible ensuring a well balanced and nutritional diet for all the children. Special diets can be catered for where necessary. Please note that one months notice is required to withdraw your child from the nursery or the deposit is forfeited.
Tax free Childcare
Tax free childcare can save some parents 20% off their fees.
Tax Credits

Nursery Education Grant
The Corner House Day Nursery is able to claim for the Educational Grant for all children over 2 years old, the term after their respective birthdays. This is for 11 hours per week over the year (51 weeks).
Absences
We do not offer reductions or alternative days for any absences, this also applies to parental holidays.
Late Collection
It is the policy of The Corner House Day Nursery Ltd. that if any parent is late collecting their child from the Nursery, we have no alternative but to charge a fee. This will be £5.00 for 5-10 minutes then £1.00 for every 5 minute thereafter.
