The Daily Mail recently reported that the ‘Look Loudly’ method for searching for lost children has been effective for some parents.
The method has been see on TikTok and is discussed in the context of when parents lose sight of their children when out shopping, or at a park or in everyday situations where children may have wandered out of sight.
It involves loudly describing the appearance of a child who cannot be sighted immediately to other members of the public.
Several parents are interviewed describing their use of the method. One parent who lost sight of her child recalled a video of a mother who had found her child in a supermarket by loudly describing her son’s appearance to other members of the public. The parent stopped calling her child’s name and started yelling, “little girl, pink shirt, pink Minnie Mouse shirt.”
